Categorized Christmas Gifts

A few months ago two of my closest friends and I discussed the issue of Christmas present; do we do them this year? Do we not? We decided on a pretty cool idea: “categorized beauty gifts”. Between the three of us we each take one beauty category. I buy Lips gifts, Sandra eyes, and Megan cheeks. Unfortunately with crazy schedules and a decent amount of distance between us we weren’t able to meet until now to do our exchange and cheers to holidays and the New Year. Yet we finally swapped our gifts and couldn’t have been more pleased or had more fun! I see a tradition starting here…..

I bought the girls the Bite Beauty Lush Lip Wipes as well as a double sided Bite Beauty Lip Duo in shades to suit each of them. Sandra’s eye gifts were spot on with a set of Sephora Flutter Lashes as well as a Sephora Eyeshadow Palette with amazing colours and is petit enough to travel with! I’m really excited to play with the colours and love the cute little ‘envelope-esque’ packaging. Megan’s gift made me squeal with excitement when I opened the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy! I’ve been so looking forward to buying one of these for myself, but can never choose between all the amazing shades! I’m happy someone finally picked for me!

And then started the plans for next Christmas! With a little switch-a-roo of categories we’ll do it all again! I love having themed gifts or categorized ideas for the holidays! It always makes things so much more fun! And it’s something that will become tradition with these lovely ladies, just like our annual road trip (see last year’s Boston trip here). Do you have any Christmas gift traditions?
