Everyone wants to look their best, but sometimes if you read the latest fitness and beauty mags it can seem like in order to look hot you need to live on a diet of one stick of celery per day, and do 3 hours of intense sprint intervals up and down a mountain each morning in order to make any progress towards your beauty or fitness goals.

Luckily, there are some low-stress things you can do in order to work towards looking your best. Here are a few of those.

Go for invisible braces

If you never jumped on the bandwagon and got braces as a kid, and find yourself unable to summon up the courage to get them now in adulthood, rest assured that braces aren’t what they used to be. Or at least, they don’t have to be.

Start having an earlier dinner

Sure, yoga and Pilates can be seriously intense workouts in their own right, no doubt about it. But fortunately, you don’t need to jump right in with a 1-hour hot yoga advanced-super-stretch session at your local gym.

Using just a smartphone, you’ll be able to access a wide variety of different beginner yoga apps which will guide you through the basic poses and get you used to stretching out those muscles you never knew you had before.

There are many major benefits to doing yoga or Pilates, but one of the key benefits is that you’ll rapidly improve your posture — which will just make you look and feel better in every situation.

Wean yourself off coffee

This one’s bound to touch a nerve, since approximately 100% of the world is completely head-over-heels addicted to their morning cup of java.

The thing is, though, that although coffee isn’t necessarily bad for you in and of itself (in fact, a lot of research points to it having health benefits), it absolutely can elevate your stress hormones and keep you from enjoying restful sleep at night.

Weaning yourself off coffee with the aid of green tea is a great way of improving your nightly slumber, and therefore your whole look. After all, they call it beauty sleep for a reason, don’t they?
